Shane paints with his hands; a tactile approach where he feels what he is painting. Touching, pulling, and pushing the paint around the board is how he loads his imagery; how he charges it with emotional content. This action or transportation of feeling and meaning into his work can be overlooked as simply technique, but that would be a mistake: the simple actions someone makes while creating something they care about are sometimes beautiful in themselves.
